About A Green-Eyed Gal

A Beautiful Dust Bowl, Texas, United States
I am a Christian, broken and imperfect, yet saved by the Grace of God and His son, Jesus Christ. I strive to keep my life more focused on Him. I am a (Military) Wife! I am devoted to supporting my LOVE in all that he does and desires to do. (and still have loves, interests, and goals of my own.) I am a Mom! I struggle every second to raise my son to be the person he needs to be. I am old-fashioned, and conservative, and the preservation of his morals, character, and soul are my utmost concern. I am a Sister, a Daughter, a friend, a neighbor, a Veteran, a traveler, a Republican, part of the NRA, a photographer, a painter, a reader, a crafter, my own best friend, my own worst enemy, eclectic, ugly sometimes, beautiful others. I love life. I see God in every part of our life. I am unable to let the world change me. Everything you find on these pages, are reflections of things that are important to me. Enjoy!

Spring...

I love Spring. Almost as much as I love Fall.  I love all the buds on the trees, all the bushes coming back to life, all the flowers budding and sending their beautiful aromas out on the cool breezes.

Its time to start planning our garden.  Its time to tackle the weeds, that never stopped growing, even in the freezing weather.  Its time to put in my flowers into the front flower bed.  Its time to replace some bushes in the back and add some around the deck.

Its time to start planning a camping trip.  Its time to start airing out the house.  Its time to take the kiddo on hikes and teach him new things about the great outdoors.

Its time to get ready for Easter, maybe coax my boys to set foot IN a church.  LOL  Its time to reflect on regeneration of life all around us, and regeneration of life in our souls.  Its time to reflect on sacrifice, and resurrection, and hope, and faith.  Its time to watch the world around us truly wake up from its winter nap, and note the time for us to wake up from our 'winter' naps.

Praise God for Springtime!
